IT'S THE EQUIVALENT OF A P85 SINGLE MOTOR TESLA MODEL-S IN AN AWESOME 350Z WIDE BODY. - WILL BUCKWALTER, 350Z electric-conversion lead

"It was originally a drift car and had a history. It came to us without a motor and was originally an automatic. It was converted to manual but we took all that out, put in a full Tesla pack along with a large drive unit in the back."
"Underneath the bonnet, this is no longer an engine bay—this is our battery box bay. We have a few types of batteries in here, starting with 12 of 16 Tesla modules from an 85 kWh pack. We figured we’d clean this up and bring the body color into here, but still show off that these are batteries not a VQ motor."
"We have a mix of gauges--CAN bus and GPS. We worked with Speedhut to get the 350z to have that analog but up-to-date feel."
"We tried to get away with just the state of charge and coolant temp gauges but the dash space was very empty right here, plus it was hard to know how fast I was going with switching between screens on the iPad. We reached out to Speedhut and they got us an awesome GPS speedometer."
"This is the only Liberty Walk wide body kit for the 350z here in the states. To make it fully electric we used the Tesla model S subframe, which is much wider than the 350, so we had to push the Liberty Walk kit out even more—another 2-inches on each side to fit the Rotiform Wheels and Toyo Tires."
